What are we looking for?

• This position is responsible for providing can seaming and flexible packaging sealing expertise to the site and will support thermal process activities.
• These activities will include but are not limited to standardization of sealing and seaming parameters, analyze data for seaming and sealing process improvements, will own and lead new packaging/suppliers seaming and sealing qualification and CI for can, pouch and flex tray technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in food sciences, engineering, and/or chemistry required.
• Background in food packaging preferred.
• This role will support packaging related incubation process and data analysis. Associate will support thermal process related activities as defined by the Process Authority. Associate shall be a member of the site’s Food Safety Team.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Support site Internal Audit program by becoming an auditor who adheres to the audit schedule, drives corrective actions and compliance to continues improvements.
• Support Document Control Program by overseeing seam/sealing related documents and assuring compliance via timely review and updates as required.
• Own standardization, validation and implementation of seaming/sealing parameters, monitoring methods and frequency.
• Support FS RA related to new packaging/supplier qualifications and own validations required by
• Provide Training on relevant seaming/sealing Q&FS standards to site associates. Drive the site based internal audit program to ensure all processes and procedures are managed in accordance to corporate Quality and Food Safety Standards, Business Unit QFS directives and FDA regulations. Partnering with BU QMP Team.
• Support other Quality & Food Safety Activities at the site.
• Own yearly validations of existing packaging and seaming/sealing parameters and any new packaging and or supplier qualifications.
• Back up for site Thermal process Technologist, which could include but not limited to heat penetration, temperature distribution and deviation analysis and recommendations.
• Member of Site Food Safety Team.
• Support incubation process and data analysis for changes related to packaging and or sealing and seaming processes.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem solving for seaming/sealing related issues.
