Floral Designer Jobs

Job Objective

Bring exceptional aesthetic sense along with the ability to create elaborate flower arrangements to meet the client’s desires. Design, cut, and arrange live flowers and foliage. Produce marvelous designs by grouping flowers in an innovative manner.

Essential Job Functions

• Tear down as needed
• Build floral arrangements according to client’s selection
• To make sure all design elements as specified in client files are completed and executed to company standards.
• Deliver products and supplies
• Maintain, clean and prep perishable products ie: flowers
• Assist in flower processing including (but not limited to): cleaning and filling up buckets with water, giving all our flowers a fresh cut upon day of arrival, cleaning and processing stems as needed, emptying trash, breaking down delivery boxes, ect.
• Practice safe working habits and take their appropriate breaks and lunch periods in a timely manner
• Read and understand client invoice
• Clean workspace, vases, glassware and floral containers
• Set-up wedding floral and any DDD rental items

Required Education and Experience

• Background in Floral Designing
• Appropriate amount of experience working in this field
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions

• May be required to lift up to 25 lbs
• Varied weather conditions are expected
• Neat, well groomed, well-spoken and professional
• Varied schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours of business
• Practice safe working habits and take appropriate breaks and lunch periods in a timely manner
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• May be in an indoor or outdoor setting dependent on wedding location
• Able to work under pressure and remain calm to resolve problems using good judgment
