Financial Management Specialist (Direct Hire)

Duties

Summary

Serves as a Financial Management Specialist within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), responsible for ensuring financial services reflect the highest levels of customer service and financial integrity. You will provide expert analysis, validation, reconciliation, and processing of variety of financial data in Systems, Applications, and Product System (SAP) financial system and/or Concur Travel System.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: utilizing theories, practices, methods and techniques of systems operations, travel operations, labor processing and/or cost accounting within integrated financial management, labor systems and/or travel systems to provide customer service to stakeholders; planning and conducting financial management activities and reviews; and participating in the archival of financial information related to financial systems, labor processing, travel operations and/or cost accounting. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: planning, monitoring, and conducting financial management activities and reviews; reviewing travel, labor and/or cost management processes to identify areas of inefficiencies and weaknesses; and recommending and implementing steps to improve financial management processes.
