Job Description
Finance & Administration- Wealth Planning Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to join our Wealth Planning team. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced and credentialed financial planners, and to build relationships with the leaders of the firm. If you are interested in utilizing your personal finance, accounting, math, and/or business skills to educate others and help them achieve their financial goals, then invest in your professional development by working on a team committed to excellence and quality service for our clients.

Work you'll do

The position will focus on activities related to personal wealth planning including preparing cash flow projections, retirement plans, survivor sufficiency plans, and presentation materials related to personal financial planning. The internal Wealth Planning team does not provide tax compliance services, legal or investment advice, nor does it provide advice and analysis concerning the purchase or sale of insurance products or securities. However, a general understanding of tax concepts, investment and/or insurance vehicles would be advantageous in the understanding and development of financial plans. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team in ad-hoc requests and special projects
  • Preparing cash flow projections and retirement plans for Deloitte's Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors using excel models, financial planning software, and incorporating income tax software analysis to model the impact of taxes
  • Learning the nuances of the benefit plan provisions and calculations, running benefit projections, and applying this knowledge while preparing retirement benefit education materials
  • Communicating clearly and effectively to all levels both on the project team and the client team
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned
  • Ensuring delivery of accurate and timely results while balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities

The team

Our Wealth Planning team provides exceptional client service to the Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors (PPMDs) of the firm. Our team members focus on helping our PPMDs make informed decisions on personal financial matters so that they can maximize their wealth and achieve their financial goals. Our team includes credentialed subject matter experts including CPAs, lawyers, and Certified Financial Planners (CFP). We encourage the individual joining our team to invest in their career development in pursuit of these credentials.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or similar technical discipline and 0-2 years of relevant experience in personal financial planning
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a dynamic work environment
  • Detail-oriented with ability to plan, prioritize and make decisions on multiple time-sensitive projects

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Personal Financial Planning is preferred

How You'll Grow

As a Wealth Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with experienced professionals who are vested in your success. We cultivate a culture of trust and honesty in communication that makes it easy to give and receive developmental feedback. As a member of the team, you will also have access to a variety of national and local learning and networking events, designed to help you develop technical and leadership skills to aid in your career development.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $49,400 to $101,500.
