Field Service Engineer - Medical X-Ray

This year, we celebrate more than 39 years in business with over 1,000 installations - most of which are here in Southern California - and proudly distribute products to more than 400 imaging centers locally and nationwide. Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, motivated individual with a good attitude, to service radiographic and digital X-Ray systems. This person will be responsible for servicing our client’s medical X-Ray equipment in clinics, hospitals, and imaging centers. This person will also be part of a team for X-Ray equipment installations, relocations, and removals. Spectrum Medical Imaging is willing to provide training for the successful candidate with minimal X-Ray imaging background.

Responsibilities:

• End user training
• Document and update online service logs and assigned service tickets.
• Participating in sales opportunities such as equipment sales, contract renewals, etc…
• Installation of various brands and formats of medical X-Ray equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various types of X-Ray equipment, such as, Del Medical, Universal, Americomp, Carestream, TXR, et. al.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and apply knowledge
• Pharmaceutical contrast power injector installation and service.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of electronics with hands on experience
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner
• Good driving history.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, biomedical, or technology is preferred. Candidates with extensive experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills

Desired:

• Experience in industrial X-Ray technology are welcome.
• Experience with TCP/IP and general computer networking fundamentals.
• Comfortable driving a 16-20’ truck for X-Ray equipment installations.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic components in x-ray equipment.
• Basic Computer troubleshooting and configuration.
• Experience with PACS, DR, CR, Digitizers, Digital Printers, et. al.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
