Our experienced staff of doctors, technologists and support personnel are committed to providing the most accurate, safe, timely and caring medical imaging (such as MRI, CT, mammography and x-ray) and interventional radiology services (minimally invasive treatment for diseases and other health conditions like chronic pain).

The Limited X-Ray Technologist is responsible for reviewing patient orders and performing imaging per IHS protocol while following Single patient flow and LEAN principles. This will be accomplished by performing various imaging procedures by focusing on IHS’s standard for excellent patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Finalizes and post processes all image procedures and prepares for review by other departments while completing the Single Patient flow.
- Documents the performance, interpretation, or outcomes of all procedures performed.
- Reports any non-operable equipment and maintenance needs of imaging equipment to your supervisor.
- Reviews or transmit images and information using picture archiving or communications systems.
- Establishes or enforces standards for the protection of patients or personnel.
- Acts as a backup for other IHS departments as required.
- Communicates examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families.
- Performs image procedures while upholding IHS patient service quality standards.
- Evaluates medical information to determine patients' risk factors, such as allergies to contrast agents, or to make decisions regarding the appropriateness of procedures.
- Obtains patients' histories from electronic records, patient interviews, dictated reports, or communicating with referring clinicians.
- Confers with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses.
- Reviews patient orders, image requests, and patient questions.
- Prepares comprehensive interpretive reports of findings. Perform or interpret the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures, including magnetic resonance imaging.
- Monitor procedures to ensure adequate quality control of images. Interpret images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems.
- Prepares and responds to correspondence for unread exams, QA Notes, and inquiry statuses daily.
Required Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate (LMRT) or Certification for similar Radiologic Technology Program
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical environment
- Graduate of accredited program for X-Ray Technicians
- Licensed in accordance with state of jurisdiction
