Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Family Advocate to help us make a difference within our communities. Our Family Advocates are an integral member of our team that bring support in a case management style and act as a liaison between families, staff, the community, and other family-related services. The Advocacy Center provides services to Denton, Wise, and Jack counties. This position will have a designated office location, but travel between all offices will be required on occasion.


Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct crisis case management and intensive case management, as appropriate
  • Assist clients in completing applications for Texas Crime Victim’s Compensation Benefits
  • Participate in the On-Call rotation, requiring after-hours and holiday availability
  • Educate families on criminal and/or civil process in relation to child abuse
  • Accompany families to court hearings and CPS Family Team Meetings, as appropriate
  • Coordinate direct services programs
  • Provide consistent follow-up with clients, often as a liaison between families and partner agencies

Salary range: 47,000 plus depending on years of experience

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
  • Previous case management experience working with children and families
  • Possess a working knowledge of child abuse issues
