Job Description
  • Develops a system-wide implementation the College's strategic initiatives in the area of academics and faculty development in alignment with the current cycle of the College's strategic plan. Provides support for Online, blended and campus-based instructional professionals.
  • Provides leadership and support to the System Faculty Development Committee (FDC) as a Co-chair. Assist in the determination of College-wide faculty development initiatives based upon assessments results of the on-going student outcomes process. Provides ongoing support for campus implementation of development initiatives and the Curriculum Managers by helping to identify qualified faculty for new program development.
  • Develops and manages comprehensive system-wide in-service (beginning-of-term and end-of-term) activities. Provide ongoing support for campus implementation of related initiatives. Supports the development of faculty teaching courses in the blended format. Maintains continuous focus and support relative to faculty training and development by interfacing with human resources and the transitioning of newly hire faculty to a cycle of development and improvement.
  • Assists in the improvement of instruction and classroom management through the analysis of data and subsequent planned actions and in the collection and distribution of data to campus/system-level managers. Assists individual campuses in related development activities.
  • Maintains a role within the College or other functional areas of Academic Affairs and not to exceed 20% of overall job duties. Activities such as teaching responsibilities, curriculum support, and instructional design, etc. and pursues ongoing professional development through active participation in national, regional, and local professional organizations and academic communities
