Primary Purpose
About This Career Opportunity
It is ECA’s goal to create an environment that allows older adults in need of assisted living, dementia care services or skilled nursing to live with dignity, respect, quality and meaning. This will be achieved through strong leadership, dedication and collaboration. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operations of the community, to maintain a consistent level of quality care, services and innovative programming, which meet ECA standards, goals and mission. Leadership skills include ability to supervise and implement the best practices for care, services and financial management. Supervision and continuous attention to program evaluation, marketing and implementation of new services are key to the success of this position.
Are You Qualified?
Iii. Requirements
Four year degree essential. Advanced degree preferred. Ten years supervisory and administrative experience, inclusive of budgeting and program development, preferably in a multi-level or CCRC setting. Five years previous experience as an Executive Director. Knowledge about dementia care services and programs.
Iv. Skills And Attributes
Licensed RCFE Administrator Required. Licensed Nursing Home Administrator preferred.
Sensitivity and knowledge of working with older adults and the aging process and implications of aging in a social setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify need, develop, and manage programs and systems simultaneously. Must understand health care environment and the medical context for older adults.
