Job Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall successful operations of the independent, assisted living and memory care communities. Manages financial processes and data to drive fiscal success. Meets budget goals. Fosters a positive, professional environment conducive to superior resident relations and employee morale. Ensures the delivery of quality services according to company guidelines. Manages human resources effectively. Resolves issues promptly and effectively. Demonstrates excellent organizational and leadership qualities. QUALIFICATIONS: At least two years of operations management experience, or equivalent experience and education. Understanding of financial parameters, and budget management. Ability to effectively address and resolve both employee, resident and family concerns. Superior customer relations skills. Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate and positive attitude. Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English. Ability to direct, supervise and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance. Possesses sound organizational and time management skills. Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs. Assisted Living Managers Certification: 24-hour certification course available through the company's preferred provider. The cost of the class will be paid by the company. Responsible for the overall successful operations of the independent living, assisted living and memory care communities. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Confidentiality: Understands responsibility to maintain confidentiality with financial records, employee payroll, and resident issues. Discusses and reports issues/conflicts, as appropriate to VP of Operations. Financial: Review of all financial information for revenue, expense, payroll, and benefits Track expenses utilizing reporting software in accounting system Manages labor and expenses within budget Preparation and management of annual community budget Review monthly financial statements and prepare variance reports with Directors to ensure budget parameters Team Member interaction to resolve employee issues/concerns Operations: Day to day management of overall property services in a cost-effective, efficient manner by following company standard operating procedures Customer interaction to resolve issues/concerns Review and inspect property on a regular basis to ensure maintenance and upkeep of building, to level expected by residents Resident Focus: Day to day involvement and knowledge of all residents and family members to create a positive environment that reflects culture and standards Schedule, announce, and facilitate the monthly Resident Forum and council meeting Efficiently use and manage of all company required resident communications systems x Record keeping: Accurate, organized records of all financial, human resources, service and safety/risk management related information REPORTS TO: Vice President of Operations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance and is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Activity level is high. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Clean, well ventilated, and lighted building and office. Possible hazards include cuts, falls, strains, and bruises. PERSONAL APPEARANCE and HYGIENE: High customer visibility and interaction requires professional presentation with clean, well-kept appearance.
