We are looking for a Vice President of Technology to focus on our EverHealth Brand of technologies. The EverHealth vertical of EverCommerce provides products and services to healthcare professionals nationwide and includes a range of market-leading products like CollaborateMD, EMHWare, eProvider Solutions, GoodTherapy, Updox, AlertMD, MDTech, AllMeds, iSalus Healthcare, and DrChrono.
You:
You are passionate and hands-on technical leader with a track record of modernizing and improving SaaS systems via cloud migrations, containerization, and other nuanced initiatives. You have a proven track record for turning ideas into sustainable solutions. You have worked in Healthcare IT and understand the uptime and security needs of a healthcare solution supporting critical workflows for healthcare organizations. You want to interact with stakeholders and partner with all areas of our organization to develop solutions to solve business challenges. You have an ability to roadmap, estimate, track and deliver. You are a people-focused leader who loves coaching and mentoring. You have executive presence and the experience to lead a team to deliver innovation and quality on-time and on-plan. You have experience being a part of the leadership team driving a culture of excellence and growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist teams that design and deliver architecture and strategies that hit our internal and external SLA targets.
  • Ensure the uptime and security of our work force via establishing MDM, application and other system /workstation relevant strategies in liaison with portfolio-level IT
  • Manage team performance, agreeing on clear goals and targets, reviewing performance formally and informally, giving feedback, course correction, motivation and enabling recognition.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of our technology infrastructure including data privacy, network security and information security.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and support to direct and indirect reports.
  • Design and implement incident management and response processes to ensure RTO and RPO objectives via documentation, distribution and maintenance.
  • Establish operational and capital budgets to address the needs of various areas of the Technology department, for example, cloud spend, system infrastructure, security, networks, and databases, hardware replenishment etc.
  • Lead teams of DevOps and Security engineers focused on a portfolio of healthcare SaaS products to predictably deliver infrastructure enhancements, modernization of legacy stacks, and drive reliability and performance to customers.
  • Partner closely with Engineering leaders to support product strategy, roadmaps, and deliverables via on-time delivery and efficient communication of relevant infrastructure change.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in technology and process, and make recommendations for improving our technology operations.
  • Has ownership of the business continuity and disaster recovery within the Technology department and provide documentation and continuous improvement via recommendations and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a background in B2B SaaS technical management with a growth-stage company and personal characteristics that complement the team.
  • 10+ years of technical leadership experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
  • Experience with DevOps delivery pipelines and infrastructure as code while providing best practices including delivery risk mitigation.
  • Experience with cloud technologies including offerings from AWS including billing and capacity / budget planning.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing – as well as deep fluency in – software development methodologies.
  • Experience with full-stack healthcare infrastructure supporting technologies and languages such as Java, C# / .NET, Ruby, JavaScript, etc; solid understanding of technologies such as REST, HTTP, and JSON, APIs, RDBS and SQL; iOS or Android mobile middleware support.
  • Proven track record of modernizing legacy solutions by managing teams moving from traditional Linux VMs or bare metal to cloud containers including design and implementation of support logging, metrics and other observability layer concerns.
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and other orchestration solutions.
  • Experience in the Healthcare IT space is a must for this role, with experience understanding HIPAA compliance and information/security requirements.
  • High energy, participatory style; strong inter-personal skills and the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
  • Proven experience managing multiple teams across dispersed geographies.
  • A self-starter with a “get it done” attitude, capable of driving projects to completion.
  • Strong initiative, keen attention to detail, and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency leveraging different staffing strategies (FTEs, contractors, off- and near-shore, consultants, etc) to manage flexing staffing demands.
  • Must be comfortable in dynamic work situations within a high-growth portfolio environment.
  • Proven track record of hiring entry, mid-level and senior engineering, architecture, and infrastructure resources.
  • Impeccable integrity and ethical standards.
  • Proven track record of working successfully with a professionalized engineering product delivery operation.
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $200,000 to $240,000 USD per year plus Bonus in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
