We are looking for:

Our Global Event Operations Team is looking for an Event Technician to assist with operations, coordination, and event execution in our Santa Monica campus. Working closely with the Santa Monica` Based Technical Producers and other vendor technicians, you will interface directly with our internal partners to support the technical aspects of their events and services. Ideal candidates are passionate about technology, production management, and customer service.

The technician should have a broad audio-visual skill set and have experience operating and supporting video conferencing platforms, Crestron control systems, digital audio mixers, wireless microphone management, and hardware video switchers. In addition to equipment operation, technicians will be required to effectively communicate with presenters and interact with event stakeholders. Technicians will also be expected to undertake day-to-day administrative tasks as well as documenting audio-visual systems and creating user guides. The technician will report to the Technical Producers on Global Event Operations who will provide weekly event and maintenance schedules.

Job Responsibilities:

• Writing documentation and user guides for AV systems and processes
• Proficient in the use of Keynote, Google Slides, and Powerpoint
• Clear, consistent, and professional communication with the Global Event Operations Team and other crew members
• Live audio mixing and signal routing within Crestron and hardware audio mixers
• Diligent event documentation on a centralized ticketing system (Jira) with event details, customer communications, and assets.
• Troubleshooting audio, video and streaming issues
• Additional duties and responsibilities as needed
• Great customer service skills. Coordinate and validate internal and external VIP presenters before, during, and after the event.
• Onboarding and management of remote presenter end-points
• Setting up redundancy and backup systems in line with contingency workflow protocol
• Operation of PTZ cameras
• Quality control of creative assets prior to the event
• Operating virtual event platforms based on technical ROS requirements
• Configuring and organizing creative presentation assets
• Live video source switching between pre-recorded material and live presenters

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience using GSuite
• Proficient in both macOS and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• 2+ years’ of customer support experience in a technical environment
• Extensive knowledge of audio and video signal flow
• 3+ years’ experience working in live events or broadcast environments
• Able to be flexible with crew roles to suit individual event requirements
• 4+ years’ of technical production experience in a live event or corporate environment
• Effective communicator with the ability to work within a team and converse with internal and external speakers at an executive level

Bonus Experience:

• 4+ years of technical production experience in a live event or corporate environment including the configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of production equipment
• Experience working in an event environment or collaborative production setting
• Valid California Driver's License (or the ability to obtain)
• Bachelor's Degree in an area of technical production or creative media field
• Familiarity with Vectorworks, CAD, or other drafting software
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a start-up environment or tech company
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Professional certifications and credentials
• 4+ years of customer support experience in a technical environment

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time role offers a salary of $95,000-$120,000.
