As Event Manager within the Corporate Brand Marketing team, you will be responsible for managing and executing large-scale internal and client events in both live and virtual settings. This individual will be responsible for consultation for the appropriate meeting platforms, project management, sourcing, contract negotiations, budget management, registration, and all other various meeting logistics. The Event Manager will work with meeting sponsors to understand the business needs and provide value-based solutions.

KEY RESONSIBILTIES

  • Elevate event quality to best represent the brand, internally and externally
  • Lead a cross-functional team across multiple business units to deliver exceptional event experiences
  • Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including C-suite executives and act as the main point of contact for all suppliers.
  • Consult with meeting sponsors/requestors to understand logistical requirements of the event and recommend meeting platform (live or virtual)
  • Set and execute business strategy, calendar, and budgets for corporate events
  • Manage risk and maintain controls through budgeting, approvals, contract review and negotiations
  • Develop the most cost-effective and sustainable meeting plans utilizing preferred vendors, negotiating contract pricing and terms and conditions, etc.
  • Understand and communicate key Honeywell values, offerings and solutions as part of event production and strategy
  • Coordinate with other internal resource groups and oversee on-site execution for events in portfolio
  • Define best practices for Honeywell events of all sizes and audiences
  • Audit and reconcile supplier invoices


YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Experience planning events with over 500 people and managing $1M+ budgets for a global company
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or similar field
  • Minimum of 7 years in event management in fast-paced corporate organizations
  • An entrepreneurial approach to the job with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively to the benefit of key stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate, challenge and pursue stakeholders at all levels.
