Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator and Sales Representative at POST Houston. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating variousaspects of events held at our venue, while also serving as apoint of contact for potential clients interested in booking our venue for their special occasions. The ideal candidate will possess strong event planning and coordination skills, along with a proven track record in sales and exceptional interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities:
Event Coordination:
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, resolving any issues or challenges that may arise to ensure a successful event.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events, including venue setup, décor, catering, and audiovisual arrangements.
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and expectations, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Provide on-site supervision and coordination during events to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage event logistics, timelines, and schedules to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with clients to coordinateevent logistics, designs, and layouts that align with their vision and the capabilities of our venue.
Sales and Business Development:
- Act as a main point of contact for potential clients interested in booking our venue for their events.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotional teamto increase brand visibility, attract new clients, and generate leads.
- Conduct sales negotiations, including contract and pricing discussions, to secure bookings and maximize revenue.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally, providing detailed information about our venue, pricing, and available services.
- Maintain our customer relationship management (CRM) system to track leads, client interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Conduct facility tours, showcasing the venue's features, amenities, and potential event options, effectively communicating its value proposition.
- Understand client needs and customize event proposals and packages to meet their specific requirements.
Event Marketing and Networking:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event-specific promotional materials, social media campaigns, and digital marketing strategies.
- Represent our venue at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to establish and maintain relationships with potential clients and industry professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
- Creative mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
- Proven experience in event coordination and management, with a strong understanding of events and their logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Demonstrated sales experience, preferably in the hospitality, events, or venue industry.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by event schedules and client meetings.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
