Turner & Townsend
are hiring an experienced US Estimating Lead to work with the infrastructure team onsite in New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.
  • Maintain liaison with client and other consultants at all projects stages.
  • Use the appropriate estimating tool (client tools, customized estimating spreadsheets, industry estimating software, benchmarking, etc.).
  • Meet and negotiate costs with Contractors.
  • Provide leadership to estimating/cost management team when necessary, ensure the delivery on all of accountabilities.
  • Produce monthly post contract cost reports and present to client.
  • Be a Team Player – support the junior estimators and team, be flexible and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Identify improvements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to appropriate line manager.
  • Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final costs.
  • Develop cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
  • Perform all aspects of estimating, analysis and verification of contractor costs.
  • Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking, and valuation process.

Qualifications


On-site presence is required. Requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

  • Staff management experience is required
  • Self starter / Career driven / Well organized
  • 10+ years of estimating construction experience within transportation (Rail, Roads, Bridges, Highways, Aviation)
  • Role will include all faucets of estimating, providing QA & efficient delegation of work to others in the estimating team

Additional Information


The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$190K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
