Position: Epidemiologist
Location: Aberdeen, MD
Clearance Required: Secret
Status: Contingent upon contract award
Knowesis is looking for an Epidemiologist to support the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch (AFHSB) of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This position requires eligibility for a Secret clearance and requires U.S. Citizenship (applicants without proof of US citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirement).
The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Other duties as assigned
• Disseminates the results of analytical studies via technical reports, briefings, presentations, manuscripts, websites, and other media based on target audiences based on the guidance of senior team members.
• Collects, monitors, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes morbidity and mortality surveillance data for the purposes of supporting U.S Army and the DoD surveillance efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, write reports, and effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• At least three years of post-doctoral experience in the field of epidemiology
• Exceptional analytical skills to interpret epidemiological data, identify trends, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Proficiency in using statistical software, especially SAS, for complex data analysis.

Required Education:

• Master’s Public Health, Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics
