This Is What You Will Be Doing


As an R&D Technician (Entry Level) you will be responsible for providing general support to R&D Engineers. Setting up and operating a wide variety of R&D processing equipment. Preparing experimental samples, tests samples, preparing rolls for coatings trials, and evaluating data to determine quality and reliability of new products. Represent Haartz with customers and suppliers. We will train!


Some Of Job Responsibilities Are As Follows


  • Works safely and follows all safety and environmental guidelines as specified by Haartz.
  • Follows samples in plant; recording parameters, obtaining samples for testing, providing feedback to the R&D engineer during development of a new product.
  • Become familiar with Quality Technician certification requirements.
  • Learn and understand the proper use of electronic data and document storage systems for inventory, test data entry, sample planning, and other needs.
  • Understand the procedure for submitting samples to the Quality lab for testing.
  • Inspect samples using both R&D and production inspection tables, properly wrap/package samples to be shipped, and is responsible for generating proper documentation for shipments to leave Haartz.
  • Become trained in the operation of Forklift Trucks and acquire license.
  • Learn the system to find that all MSDS and material safety information.
  • Works to keep all areas of R&D clean and orderly,
  • Works effectively in a team-oriented environment where trust, communication and teamwork are encouraged
  • Become trained in the operation of the R&D equipment, and understand their safety aspects.


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, hours may vary.


This Is What You Should Bring


High School Diploma or GED, and one-year related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer experience required. Qualified candidates should have a good track record with attendance and job performance 1-2 years of work experience showing stability and reliability.
