Role Description
We are looking for an R&D Process Technician to join our Development Operations team to support our electrode work stream. In this role, you will work directly with process engineers and scientists to produce, document, and characterize chemically-coated electrodes. Your work will have a direct impact on Form Energy’s efforts to decarbonize the grid by supporting the production of our proprietary electrodes for use in our research scale and product intent batteries. You will make keen observations on process anomalies, recommend process improvements, and articulate findings to our electrode process development team for further analysis.
What You'll Do
  • Use standard operating procedures (SOPs) to routinely prepare electrodes and document process conditions and deviations
  • Support engineers and scientist in executing their experiments
  • Continuously improve the process for existing production and analysis protocols
  • Make observations on process anomalies and communicate findings to team for collaborative analysis
  • Support development scientists and engineers by stocking, inspecting and maintaining key consumables and equipment
What You'll Bring
  • 1+ year experience in R&D or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with chemical hygiene, safety best practices
  • Organization skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible with changes in schedule and ability to self-manage
  • Ability to lift 50 lb and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite or Google Apps
