The Creative Director reports to the Director-Disney Event Group and leads a team of Show Directors, Art Directors, Graphic Designers, and Show Writers.

You Will:

On any given day, as a Creative Director, you might:

• Responsible for artistic, technical, and operations aspects of all Gatherings event entertainment and productions.
• Be responsible for the Creative Review process as it relates to events and entertainment.
• Be responsible for fostering creativity and innovation through the Gatherings line of business that transform our events. Set the tone and vision to continue to create new event concepts that keep us in the forefront of the industry.
• Lead all aspects of and approve all affiliated vendor creative professionals and create partnerships with Disney Creative collaborators including Disney Parks Live Entertainment.
• Direct, Write, Design new creative as needed.
• Partner with Executive Creative Leadership.
• Accountability includes direct collaboration with Entertainment Creative & Production Leadership to establish creative scope and deliverables.
• Responsible for oversight of all areas of producing Disney Event Group productions.
• Collaborate with all Sales & Services Leadership as a resource to drive creativity and innovation to convert the business.

You Will Have:

• Proven leadership ability, including problem-solving, influencing abilities, negotiating skills and continuous improvement process experience.
• Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to a wide variety of working environments.
• Demonstrated partnering, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Familiarity with various Creative Design programs including, Adobe Suite, Keynote, Showpro, In-Design, AutoCAD and Prerez software.
• Working knowledge of Rehearsal, Casting and Show Quality Process in relation to Unions including AEA, AFM, IATSE and Service Trades Union contracts.
• Proven decision-making abilities and creative skills.
• Highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to lead multiple disciplines in fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated strong presentation experience, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver on specific creative goals and deliverables through collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

It would be great if you also have:

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Creative Production and Entertainment Operations.
• Demonstrated Theme Park entertainment experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 7-10 years background combined in direction, design and creative writing combined with 4 years minimum as Show Director
