Job Description
Description:
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices. This includes soldering, manual electronic assembly, and hydraulics assembly.
  • Fill out daily reports and production logs.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Responsible for testing products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
  • Perform duties for shipping and receiving the product as needed
  • Utilize ERP system to perform material transactions
  • Responsible for preparing and assembling materials.
  • Provide guidance and training to other manufacturing technicians
  • Must be capable of using measuring equipment including but not limited to digital calipers, micrometers, snap/drop gauges
  • Participate in root cause analysis for defective components and customer returns
  • Review of product documentation and device history records for compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements
  • Set up and operate production and test equipment according to current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoots problems with devices or products.
  • Perform light equipment Preventive Maintenance

Qualifications
  • Ability to guide others in an effective and professional manner
  • Ability to problem solves independently and with others.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and sit for extended periods and to perform various types of manual labor
  • Demonstrated use of hand tools (torque drivers, arbor press, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches)
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical measurement devices
  • Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and powered tools
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Technical Degree or formal training from an accredited school preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, database information sources, and web application
  • Experience in hydraulic assemblies preferred
  • Must be able to read and follow manufacturing work instructions and diagrams.
  • Minimum high school education/GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Must be able to utilize a computer and be comfortable working with off-the-shelf and custom computer software
  • Flexibility to perform multiple job functions as needed
  • Good communication skills are a must. Needs to be able to communicate issues that they may see on the line or the product clearly to the supervisor and engineers
  • Must perform multiple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
