Position Summary

As a Laboratory Technician in the biology team, you will screen new molecular entities in moderate to high throughput cell based assays. You will work closely with the high throughput screening (HTS), chemistry and biology teams to bring candidate drugs from hit to lead. This is an exciting opportunity to join a startup company and discover novel therapies for metabolic disorders and cancer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Mammalian cell culture and screening compounds in cell-based assays
• Analyze data and report findings at team meetings

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist the operations manager as needed
• Assist in ordering lab consumables
• Schedule preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment

Experience and Skills

• Experience with mammalian cell culture is a plus
• Experience with laboratory automation or robotics is a plus
• Associates degree or completion of a Biotechnology certification program
• Training will be provided

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. The final salary will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
