Corestaff is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager!

This is a direct hire oppertuntiy for our Client's Elgin, IL facility.

Our client specializes in high-tech repair services for electronic and electrical OEM's, retailers, cable, satellite, and mobile/telecom providers.

Engineer Manager Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the development, design, and qualification of new products and process solutions to support customers' requirements. This role plays a crucial part in aligning technology advancements with customer demands and driving continuous improvement within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage engineering personnel, conducting performance reviews, training plans, and development.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve processes and expand client service offerings.
• Foster teamwork with process engineers, supply chain, and planners for a seamless NPI handoff.
• Monitor engineering budget to align with profit plan expectations.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including change orders, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Establish and monitor department metrics aligned with client's goals for continuous improvement.
• Take responsibility for successful program/project implementation, considering manufacturing technology, schedule, and cost.
• Lead the engineering team in generating and documenting new ideas.
• Ensure engineering excellence through best practices, processes, and tools.
• Develop and deploy programs/project steps, DFMEA, controls, and testing for existing or new products.
• Rapidly address technical support needs from customers and internal teams.
• Lead product and process design, development, testing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong background within continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• High energy, goal oriented and enthusiastic; a self-starter
• Strong leadership skills, ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change.
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience
