Our Endoscopy Technician will:
- Perform general patient care activities to provide patients with optimal health care
- Perform patient transport duties
- Demonstrate technical competence in the cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of endoscopy equipment
- Coordinate scheduling and registration of all endoscopic procedures with medical staff, hospital departments, nursing and physician office staff
- Be able to recognize, obtain, document, and report data to appropriate staff
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to meet the needs of patients and optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
- Assist the physician and nursing staff in performance of endoscopic procedures
What you’ll bring:
- Certification: Certification in Endoscopic procedures required (must be completed within 2 years of employment); NYS Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Passion for Patient Care
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience working in Endoscopy
- 1+ Years of Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care hospital setting required
