The Assembler II will be responsible for assembling and /or producing products according to detailed manufacturing processes. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under supervision and in accordance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local laws/regulations/requirements and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Perform medical device assembly work.
- Work with engineers in building engineering test units.
- May provide training to other team members as requested by Line Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
- Set high standards for integrity and ethical conduct for yourself and treat others with respect.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Monitor own work to ensure high quality.
- Ensure that station is always audit-ready.
- Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- Work with assigned equipment and recognize mechanical problems as they arise.
- Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes ownership of own actions; Keeps commitments; completes tasks accurately and on time, or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
- Assist with in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Attendance and Punctuality – consistently at work and on time.
- Follow all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Notifies supervisor when tools or equipment need maintenance or repairs.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all International, Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Strive to increase productivity.
- Understand and apply all manufacturing procedures and other necessary documentation as it relates to the product line.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of related relevant work experience (medical device assembly) is preferred.
- Ability to apply basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, metric, and U.S. measurements.
- Ability to work overtime, off-shift hours, and some holidays as needed by business is required.
- Amenable to working in a special environment (clean room) and wearing personal protective equipment (lab gowns or clean room gowns).
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
- Ability to work with cross-functional departments – ME Tech, Quality Control, Engineering, and Warehouse.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
