Electrical Engineer Jobs

Diamond Technical Services, Inc. (DTS) is looking for a Spring ’23 graduate Electrical Engineer I to join our team in the Chicago Metro Area, specifically, Bolingbrook, Illinois. The candidate should be highly motivated and have some heavy industrial experience.

·BSEE from an accredited university program.

·Candidates with industrial Co-op experience is a plus.

• Preparation of documents, reports and drawings from concept thru design and implementation
• Exposure to the NEC and related industry codes and practices.
• Familiarity with electrical Arc Flash and coordination studies is a plus.
• Basic knowledge with the design of electrical power distribution, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Good, demonstrated CAD skills are required.
• Familiarity with MCCs and switchgear 5,000 V and below is a plus.
• Able to apply learning to industrial projects including, area lighting, 120 and 480V power panels, distribution drawings as well as sizing cables and conduits.

·The ability to communicate: both written and orally and work with Clients onsite in an industrial setting.

·Basic understanding of classified spaces and the development of Hazardous Area Classification drawings.

·Knowledge of industrial PLC’s, VFD’s, control panels and related electronics is a plus.

• While the position has work balance flexibility, this is not a remote work position.
• The position will visit jobsites and provide project management support as required.

·Work with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and budgets.Reliable in controlling costs and adhering to required scope boundaries.

·Candidate will need to be able to support occasional work at client sites where candidate may need to climb ladders to reach elevated platforms in order to perform assessments as well as to take and verify measurements for project scope areas.

·Able to travel up to 10% of the time for clients visits beyond day trip distances. Mandatory to possess a valid US Driver’s License.

·Willing to relocate and work in the Chicago metro area.

·Salary will be based on experience and technical abilities.
