Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Engineer with a strong electrical background to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for electrical systems and equipment in the field. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Responsibilities
  • Field Operations:
  • Create accurate and comprehensive documentation of electrical system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations during field operations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, including work logs, inspection findings, and test results.
  • Customer Service:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or recommending additional services to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain organized records of equipment inventory, repairs, and replacements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to provide technical input for project planning and design.
  • Conduct tests, measurements, and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues or malfunctions.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Perform on-site inspections, installations, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors, technicians, and clients to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion.
  • Provide on-site training and assistance to customers in the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, technical support requests, and service calls.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and field teams regarding electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of field technicians.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical problems, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, systems, and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience working as a field engineer or in a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Proficiency in conducting tests, measurements, and diagnostics using electrical tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work in various field conditions.
