Summary Coordinate change control activities to assure documented information required by the organization is being managed to effectively support the quality management system. The Documentation Specialist will facilitate the control of documentation to ensure it meets requirements of the business. Facilitation includes responsibility for creating and updating documents, revision control, distribution, access, and maintain metrics to ensure timely implementation of changes. This position will also be responsible for maintaining physical and electronic storage of quality documents. This position will report to the Quality Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrates flexibility in work shifts and hours to support across all shifts
- Support Quality department as needed, such as rubber or hose testing, MSAs, Internal Auditor, creating/updating monthly reports, assist with documenting customer returns
- Less than 10% travel
- Record retention
- Complete change control tasks such as updating pFMEA, control plans, material specifications
- Track and report change control metrics to ensure changes are implemented timely
- Support compliance to Danfoss Business Systems, including implementation of IATF requirements, etc.
- Assisting, creating and updating local procedures and forms following defined standards with collaboration of the document owner
- Communicating deadlines, delays or obstacles, and creating means for resolution where needed
- Assists document owners to ensure periodic reviews completed timely
- Completing change control coordinator tasks • Reviewing related documents to assess if changes are warranted
- Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Background & Skills
Minimum Requirements
- Good understanding of technical writing skills and grammar
- Good working knowledge of and skills with Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively and to deal with problems when under pressure
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and schedule multiple activities occurring simultaneously
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with and through others, at all organizational levels in the facility
- Ability to read, understand and effectively apply information contained in all applicable documents
- Ability to work independently to meet stated objectives/timelines/metrics
- Demonstrates problem solving ability
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and any shift, as needed
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and improve metrics
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with ISO procedures

- Occasionally: Lift 50 pounds or more
- Essential: Lift ten (10) pounds regularly, not above shoulder height, to the extent that limited jobs with this requirement exist
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface, as well as bend, stoop and reach, up to eight (8) hours a day and occasionally up to 12 hours per day
Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently
Essential: Lift ten (10) pounds regularly, not above shoulder height, to the extent that limited jobs with this requirement exist
Occasionally: Lift 50 pounds or more
- Vision to accurately read all necessary production documents and computer monitor screens
