Job Description

Our client, a global toy manufacturing and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Documentation Coordinator to join their team in East Aurora, NY! This role is onsite 5 days a week so candidates must be local.


***This is a 5 month contract opportunity***


This Documentation Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the company’s Regulatory Compliance Engineering and Global Quality Systems teams. This will include tasks such as preparing technical documentation (ie formatting, outlining, linking attachments) and then migrating those documents into a new system. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong computer skills, excellent English language proficiency and the ability to work well with others, in-person and virtually, in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the assigned document authors to ensure integrity of content and revision control
  • Ensuring documents are formatted and transferring correctly in new system
  • -Formatting pictures and text (ie bolding, underlining, bulletizing words and/or statements)
  • -Inserting and/or modifying hyperlinks
  • Assist with Manager of Global Quality Systems with the preparation of training materials
  • Preparing technical documentation by:
  • Ensuring files and folders are accurately managed and have correct labeling
  • -Using, revising, and creating custom Word Styles
  • Migrating documents from an existing system into a new system
  • -Copying and pasting text, pictures, and tables
  • -Creating headings, sub-headings, and inserting page numbering
  • -Converting files (ie PDF files, Excel files, Word files, Adobe Illustrator files) to Word
  • -Creating and editing tables


Required Skills & Experience

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business or a related field
  • Comfortable with being on-camera during virtual meetings
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, including ability to edit and manipulate documents
