Our client, a respected engineering firm in the Greater St. Louis area, is looking to add a Document Control Manager to their team. The ideal candidate should have a background in handling, maintaining, and preparing documentation related to engineering work. This position is located in the West County area of St. Louis.
Pay and Benefits: $50K-$60K, Health/Dental/Vision/401k
Responsibilities of a Document Control Manager:
- Prepare and revise documents as required to ensure project schedule is delay-free.
- Confirm that all data/documentation is handled in line with company standards, including logging, tracking, and maintenance of records.
- Properly dispose of outdated documentation, ensuring client confidentiality and compliance.
- Preserve the Document Control Log with relation to documents produced in-house, including initial issuance, changes/updates, etc.
- Maintain logs of all project information received from clients, vendors, and equipment manufacturers.
- Manage all aspects of the internal document control to ensure integrity of data and ease of use.
- Generate documents as needed for internal use and/or distributions for clients.
Success Factors of a Document Control Manager:
- Must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to and accept learning new technology.
- Prior experience in the engineering/construction industry preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Document Control, Library Science, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail skills with an ability to produce error free deliverables.
- Knowledge proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat/Reader required.
