POSITION SUMMARY:
This position, under general supervision, supports field and engineering efforts through the distribution and administration of various documentation and literature directly related to quality control for compressor packages and their components. Other responsibilities include administrative functions, including filing, scanning and incoming calls/emails providing the appropriate action.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: may include any or all of the following.
- Review, maintain, and input data for various reports/logs.
- Maintain and update MSDS/SDS data sheets.
- Ensure document filings/forms are submitted within the required timeframe.
- Responsible for accurately completing various types of documents required for the operation of the department.
- Compose memos, transcribe notes, proofread literature and research as well as create bulletins.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Technical Service Bulletins.
- Prepare shop quality control traveler for each unit.
- Following all Company statements of procedure, this position is responsible for all aspects of electronic PDF Unit Support manuals from creation to shipment.
- Answer phones/e-mails and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Update existing manuals as changes are made to units and notify appropriate operating districts.
- Research and ensure that the most current QC/technical manufacturing literature is distributed and made available.
- Assist manufacturing personnel with package/component warranty claims.
- Assist other employees with departmental related questions or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain various forms of documentation in an easily retrievable and consistent filing system.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY STATEMENTS):
- Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proven knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing, problem solving, decision-making, planning, organizing, meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and communication.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan.
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 + years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Computer skills:
- Advanced level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License.
