Your role at Clorox:

The Diversity Learning & Development Consultant will serve as a visionary and support Clorox’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Allyship) strategy. This role will be part of Enterprise Learning and Development and work closely with the IDEA team to design, develop and implement impactful learning experiences and solutions that create value, build capabilities and empower employees to fuel our company growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, problem solver, experienced learning professional and a good relationship builder who is adept at innovating and staying agile. Additionally, this candidate should have excellent project management skills and the ability to navigate a complex business environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Leverage experience in instructional design to drive the design, curation and adoption of innovative blended learning experiences (micro, digital, video, experiential) that evoke culture change.
  • Participate in enterprise Learning and Development team to gain efficiencies, share best practices and optimize how we interact.
  • Ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed.
  • Stay current with external trends, best practices and innovations and infuse ideas into the work products and consulting practices.
  • Review training materials from vendors and choose appropriate learning solutions that are relevant for employees and align to the IDEA strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs, facilitators, vendors to ensure they are effective at meeting desired outcomes.
  • Provide input on projects and activities to enhance enterprise training processes and tools to optimize learning experiences and impact for the organization
  • Plan, design, conduct and administer IDEA learning programs and experiences to help employees expand their capabilities and mindset.
  • Work in close collaboration with the IDEA team to operationalize and execute learning aligned to the strategic choices within the IDEA strategy.
  • Use expertise in diversity and inclusion as well as adult learning to develop learning strategy.
  • Influence across multiple teams, business units and groups without direct authority to garner sponsorship and align solution delivery to maximize business impact.
  • Collaborate with enterprise learning peers to leverage existing products and experiences and identify solutions that achieve shared results.
  • Deliver, promote and manage IDEA learning solutions and experiences; work with communications, internal stakeholders to market and communicate how and when to access learning solutions.

  • Must be able to think strategically, tactically, and creatively.
  • Strong project management skills, action-oriented, drive for results, set clear expectations and milestones, reviews and drives progress, act decisively, solve problems, be counted on to consistently meet or exceed goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and lead, autonomously, engaging stakeholders for input and alignment upfront to delivering on expectations, on time, on budget with available resources.
  • 5+ years of learning and development experience within Diversity, multi-branded environment including developing, implementing, and delivering training
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to develop a high level of credibility, partner effectively with other areas of the organization.
  • Proven record of successfully designing and facilitating collaboration among diverse people and business areas
  • Understanding of privilege, power, marginalization, and oppression and how they manifest personally, interpersonally, structurally, and institutionally.
  • Significant experience working productively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and the ability to discern how marginalized populations may have differing needs.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, engaging, sensitively written materials and presentations for a wide- ranging audience.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


–Zone A: $101,100 - $194,200

–Zone B: $92,700 - $178,000

–Zone C: $84,300 - $161,800

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
