Job Description
The International Mission Board (IMB) is a non-profit, religious organization based in Richmond, VA with an exciting career opportunity for someone to join our team as the Director, Staff Training. In this role reporting to the Vice President of Training, you will plan, design, develop and manage the organization’s development and training program. You will serve as a liaison to the Staff Human Resources team, providing guidance and overseeing the design, development and implementation of effective training initiatives for staff employees, with a goal of improving their skills and knowledge while enhancing their performance and improving organizational productivity. You will have the opportunity to coordinate the delivery of staff training programs through multiple learning management systems, such as Pathwright and Workday Learning.


Required Experience and Skills:


  • 5+ years of work-related experience with responsibilities similar to this role
  • Client Management skills – You will be coaching, consulting and using interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
  • Problem Solving skills – Training needs analysis and program alignment
  • Communication skills – You’ll need to be able to elicit and understand training requirements from stakeholders and create and present content and training material orally and in writing
  • People Management skills – Having an understanding of people management and adult learning best practices is needed
  • Project Management skills – The ability to plan, design, and implement training programs will be crucial to your success


Ideal Experience and Knowledge:


  • Certifications in personality assessment instruments
  • A Bachelor’s Degree preferred, ideally in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Psychology or Human Resources
