Job Description

About the job:

Meet is working with a mid-size Biotech in the Bay Area! My client is looking for a Program Team Director that will facilitate the cross-functional Oncology Program Strategy Team (PST) in their development of clinical development strategies. They will also provide project management support to functions as they implement those strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Provides relevant program information for budgeting process and portfolio reviews
  • Ensures all functions on the PST are aware of the state of the Oncology Program by developing and maintaining high-level timelines and status reports, and communicating these at a regular cadence
  • Ensures appropriate and effective communication within the program team, senior management, and the executive team, including the CEO
  • Works closely with all members of the Oncology PST to understand what important clinical development strategies, decisions and proposals need to be made, and partners with team members to create the best opportunities for the team to develop those strategies/decisions/proposals
  • Works in partnership with Global Oncology Clinical Lead to develop quarterly presentations for Board of Director meetings
  • Schedules, co-chairs, and facilitates Oncology PST meetings, including co-developing the agenda with the PST members
  • Creates models, frameworks, and/or presentations for the PST’s consideration in order to facilitate the PST’s development of its strategies


Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years program and project management experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry, including Phases 1-3, regulatory filings and product launch
  • Master’s Degree in a life science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Deep oncology experience in program and project management is a must
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for drug development functions (ICH and FDA)
  • Strong and demonstrated program leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate, and integrate complex, cross-functional drug development teams
  • PMP or other Project Management Institute certification
