Role Overview


Fisker is looking for a Director, Program Management (Vehicle Line) to join our team in Manhattan Beach, CA. This position works with executive leadership and our entire Fisker team to manage the end-to-end process of the vehicle development lifecycle. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources, and solve problems quickly and effectively. A strong team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.


Responsibilities


  • Drive the vehicle/product development process in conjunction with the relevant leadership and functions (engineering, procurement, sales, services, marketing, design, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete capture of performance and other product goals, architecture, test plan, and successful test and validation for both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage the success of the Fisker Vehicle Program providing technical guidance and the success of the vehicle lifecycle from development to launch and iterative updates.
  • Ensure readiness for mass production and service phases of the lifecycle.
  • Be responsible for the Total Program Management of a Fisker Vehicle Program, facilitating an environment of innovation and product excellence.
  • Be responsible for program performance measurements, reporting, quality, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Aggressively and proactively manage risk across the program portfolio.
  • Be responsible for working with finance to coordinate key vehicle financial and budgetary activities including the costed bill of materials, the program prototype budget, PMO budgets (headcount, expense, etc.).
  • Ensure that product homologation and relevant certifications as required by law are supported by the appropriate business areas.
  • Be responsible for the overall timing - critical path, milestones, key dependencies, and summary.


Qualifications


  • A strong technical aptitude, necessary to drive the development of a high-technology product.
  • Ability to coordinate the actions of a large multifaceted organization. A deep understanding of the multiple phases of a large program, how to measure performance in those stages, and communicating those to Leadership and staff at large.
  • Experience working closely with all functions of an enterprise (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Industrial Design, etc) to manage the product development life cycle.
  • Excellent communication (written, spoken) at all levels of the enterprise.
  • Experience in Design Release and Program Management working in the automotive domain or another relevant product area.
  • 15+ years of experience in automotive delivering Large Scale, Complex vehicles managing cross-functional teams for product development, execution, launch and delivery.
  • Best-in-class cross-functional interaction skills and a history of driving teams to perform to highly demanding schedules/challenges.
  • Experience taking multiple products to market as a Chief Engineer or PMO Leader or other relevant leader with direct experience.
  • Experience with NPI, product launch, and post-sales support
  • 10+ years of experience as Chief Engineer or PMO Leader in the Automotive domain managing capital-Intensive projects with strong delivery and launch experience taking products from concept to production.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Additional Requirements


  • Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, as required.


Expected Salary Range


$130,340.00 to $257,590.00 per year.


Additional Compensation


Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
