About The Team


This role supports Workday’s Global Customer Support organization. We are a team of expert problem-solvers dedicated to delivering the best customer support in the industry. The Global Support Operations & Enablement (GSOE) team provides program & portfolio management, operational support, technology solutions, change enablement, knowledge, and analytical insights to empower Support’s success.


About The Role


As the Director of Program Management, you will lead the programs and portfolio team to drive large, high-visibility programs for the Support organization. As a key leader in GSOE, you will develop and maintain partnerships with business owners and technical leaders to deliver critical initiatives.

  • Coach the team to drive business outcomes through their programs
  • Elevate business value through outcomes; analyze key performance indicators and trends to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective action
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Program Managers, driving a high-performance culture and fostering professional growth.
  • Establish and implement a strong vision that optimizes our strategy and helps teams implement and embrace multiple programs through engagement, prioritization, and by removing barriers to success
  • Drive teamwork and innovation through sharing of ideas and methodologies, balanced disagreement, and a solution-centric approach
  • Drive continuous improvement to scale the business while maintaining operational excellence and outstanding customer support
  • Lead and influence cross functional initiatives, implementing coordinated solutions with a balance of execution and innovation


About You


Basic Qualifications


  • Business / Engineering degree or equivalent experience and skills in leadership, conflict management, and operational management.
  • 10+ years delivering strategic and tactical solutions to enable a successful, high-quality Support organization
  • 8+ years leading a technical program management, enablement, and/or operations team


Other Qualifications


  • Possesses leadership skills that including giving and soliciting direct feedback, influencing without direct authority, responsiveness, active engagement, and sound decision making
  • Communicates effectively: tailoring information for consumption across all levels of the organization
  • Confirmed experience leading and developing a team within a support operations or program management function.
  • Experience with Program Management standard methodologies
  • Conveys confidence and authority, influencing at all levels


Workday Pay Transparency Statement - United States


The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $193,700 - $290,800


Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $158,100 - $290,800
