Job Description

Job Title: Operations Director, Food Ingredients

Location: East Coast, USA

JBAndrews are partnering with an fast-paced food ingredients manufacturer who are in an exciting growth phase. They specialise in speciality value added ingredients which contribute to taste and better for you properties in sweet products. We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Operations Director, or Manager looking to step up, to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage operations, as well as a proven track record of success in leading and managing teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures
  • Manage a team of operations professionals, acting as a mentor and leader
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Oversee all aspects of food operations, including planning, procurement, safety, supply chain (including maintain and increasing OTIF), execution, and day-to-day management
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency (and/or Yield) profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff


Qualifications:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desired if trained or qualified in Lean Six-Sigma or Continuous Improvement
  • Bachelor's degree or above (preferred if related to operations / food)
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing teams
  • 10+ years of experience in food and beverage operations
