Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a Director of Training that will have leadership responsibility for the strategic and tactical learning agenda to help the HR team and business leaders build and implement programs, processes, with measurable results related to culture change, engagement and retention, mentorship, learning and development, career growth, performance management, and talent development.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a complete understanding of the competitive marketplace, best practices, and emerging trends for learning and development strategies and activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design effective new hire onboarding and orientations, training, development opportunities, competency enhancement, career growth, and knowledge transfer.
  • Create, deliver, and measure learning and development strategies.
  • Assess, select, and implement Operations specific programs as appropriate ranging from design, facilitation to execution to evaluation, ensuring learning and development is delivered with the highest impact and in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Understand and embrace the use of technology to drive learning, including the use of mobile learning, micro learning, social learning, blended learning, video-based learning, learning management systems and gamification.


Qualifications:

  • You are Learning Agile: You have enthusiasm, credibility, communication skills and personality and are looking for an opportunity to be part of a growing HR team focused on driving business success. You have Learning Management System, and talent development related technologies and platform experience (selection, configuration, implementation, reporting) specifically Workday and Cornerstone highly desirable.
  • You are an Experienced Pioneer: You have 7+ years of experience leading, creating, and facilitating leadership, change management, learning, performance support, career and talent development, instructional design, learning systems, business transformation and organizational development processes.
  • You Pursue Excellence and Continuous Improvement through Tangible Results: you demonstrate tenacity, resilience, and conviction, and are willing to go the distance to get something done excellently. You are proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer, carrier, and vendor websites.
  • You have Hands-on Experience: You have worked in, and thrived in, an organization that has adopted the skills-based learning model at scale. You have experience in the Wealth Management / Financial Services industry. Consideration will be given to candidates with experience of a fast-paced call center, large scale environment with high turnover.
  • You are an Influencer: You have consulting experience and a high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to use influence – not authority – to listen and understand the needs of managers and employees.



Compensation: A competitive compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes an excellent base salary and a performance-based bonus. A full package of company benefits, including healthcare and insurance plans, will also be available.
