Job Description

Makes significant contributions supporting cost containment efforts, orchestrating supply management initiatives, and bringing innovation to Adena Health. This includes developing and participating in short-term tactics and long range plans that result in optimal use of supplies, services, inventory and performance within the Health System and supply chain management operations. Takes an active enterprise and site-based leadership role and develops strong relationships across the enterprise. Advances supply chain management strategies and in addressing daily supply chain operations, including process reengineering, utilizations management, supply chain systems coordination, customer service, receiving, inventory management, asset management, and distribution. Must have extensive product, medical equipment, and medical services knowledge. Must have broad supply chain management experience, experience with logistics and distribution,

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Inspirity Partnership (GPO) and Value Analysis Teams by executing product or service conversions in order to meet the financial goals of the organziation. Provide consistent and accurate feedback on cost saving intitiaves.
  • Conduct regular audits and physical counts of inventory to verify accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to manage day to day Supply Chain operations while paying strict attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Continuously seek out cost savings opportunities through inventory reductions, standardization or price reductions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to inventory management and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Consistently round on the clinical and operational leaders of the organization to determine if Supply Chain can assist in acheving their strategic initiatives or departmental goals. Partictipate in daily huddles or other meetings required by the organization.
  • Manage Supplier relationships
  • Utilize knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements to ensure health system adheres to Joint Commission standards.
  • Assist in the development of Supply Chain balanced scorecard and metrics. Utilize these indicators to manage performance across Supply Chain.
  • Execute Supply Chain initiatives and assisgnments established by the department effectively and on a timely basis.
  • Having a daily presence among the team by consistently rounding, including the storerooms, to identify any areas for improvement and providing timely feedback.
  • Utilize data analysis and inventory management tools to monitor and report key performance metrics, such as stock turnover, fill rate, and carrying costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Assist in the development of tools or enhancement of existing tools to increase productivity or continuously improve overall Supply Chain performance
  • Utilize leadership skills to motivate, support and develop the team. Conduct caregiver evalutions and provide meaningful feedback. Will conduct disciplinary discussions/documentation as needed.

Required education:

  • Supply Chain or Business
  • 5+ years experience, 8 years preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • CMRP or associated knowledge
