At World View we are looking to add a Director of Supply Chain to lead our Purchasing and Contracts team. You will be responsible for establishing and managing strategic operating plans, negotiate for lowest total cost, review supplier performance, and work with leadership to ensure production and budget goals are met. This is a hands-on leadership role and will require people and technical management.
Role Responsibilities
- Establish performance metrics to measure and evaluate factors affecting the supply chain
- High level supply chain analysis including economic trends, benchmarking, supplier performance, total cost, etc.
- Structuring sound business arrangements, developing negotiation strategies, and lead contract negotiations.
- Lead supply chain program execution to ensure timely and organized material and production flow
- Implement negotiation strategies and lead high level vendor negotiations
- Manage a team of procurement and contracts managers to include the support of training for new-hires, resolving roadblocks within the department and ensure close coordination with other department leadership personnel.
- Develop and implement improvements to address any programmatic risks related to the supply chain
- Respond to unexpected changes to ensure integration activities stay on schedule, on budget, and are completed with high quality
- Work closely with business leadership to meet financial and production goals
- Ability to create and manage Master Service and other agreements as necessary for the operation of business
Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of and ability to meet DOD FAR/DFAR requirements
- 2+ years experience managing a team
- Experience working in AS9100 and ISO 9001 environments
- 10+ years experience in Supply Chain and Contracts - preferably in the Aerospace field
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or related skills
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to collaborate with other departments to develop supply chain processes and procedures with minimal oversight
- Working knowledge of Export Compliance Requirements
- Experience working with Executive Leadership Teams to drive Supply Chain Strategy into the organization
- Extensive Knowledge of ERP, MRP, and MRO – Ideally has led or participated in the implementation of an ERP system or has extensive experience with these tools
- Able to create, review, draft, and negotiate contracts (MSA, Engineering, Construction, etc.) including the development of Scope of Work documents
