Primary Purpose: The Director, of Sales, will analyze competition, creatively motivate the sales team to meet annual sales targets, and design and implement strategic sales plans. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills. This position will serve a local and national market, including Federal, State, Corporate, and Utility customers.



Job Highlights:

  • Draft detailed and accurate sales reports
  • Ability to travel up to 20% regionally
  • Create and communicate organizational and individual sales goals, keeping the executive team consistently and transparently updated on the progress of those goals
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong customer relationships while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials for new sales employees and ongoing sales development
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals
  • Immerse yourself in the EV charging space by tracking market changes, technology/OEMs, incentive programs, and general EV trends and understanding the needs of EV drivers
  • Promote team alignment and mutual respect within the department and across the organization
  • Identify new sales verticals, strategies, and lead sources to grow a pipeline with repeat customers
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve forecasted sales targets


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using computers, the Internet, and CRM tools, with the aptitude to learn other digital programs/applications
  • Proven record of driving successful sales from start to finish
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role & industry
  • Experience hiring and ramping up team members in a timely manner
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or similar preferred; or equivalent related experience
  • Must have experience with EV charging station infrastructure projects, including an in-depth understanding of construction procedures, project management principles, and products
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing people
