Job Description

Job Title: Director of Procurement

Job Type: On-Site, Direct Hire

Location: Englewood, Colorado

Salary Range: 100,000-150,000

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO

Interview Process: 1 Virtual interview, Final interview on site


The Director of Procurement is responsible for the development and management of the procurement function within the clients services and its subsidiaries. This position will develop and implement procurement policies and procedures utilizing NetSuite and other company systems, oversee the procurement process, and eventually manage a procurement team. The Director of Procurement will also be responsible for negotiating and contracting with suppliers and developing and maintaining supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management. They will also have excellent negotiation skills and be able to develop and implement procurement strategies.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization in a professional manner at all times.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and developments.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and systems (NetSuite) to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Develop, lead, and motivate a team of procurement professionals, setting and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality of goods and services, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure consistent level of quality in procurement projects and initiatives
  • Promote best practices and deliver governance standards as required
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Achieve consistency, standardization and a recognizable way of managing organizational change and procurement related initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
  • Familiarity with e-procurement systems and tools (specifically NetSuite)
  • 6-10 years’ experience in procurement or a related field
  • Proven track record of successful cost savings initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop direct reports.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
