POSITION SUMMARY

• The Plant Operations Director has overall responsibilities for all maintenance, biomedical services, physical safety and security, industrial hygiene, grounds keeping, and building management services.
• Responsible for coordinating, organizing, supervising and overseeing activities of the Plant Operations department to assure a safe, secure, efficient and continuously-functioning physical plant.

EDUCATION:

• Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred, required to obtain within two (2) years of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

• A strong background in facilities management, preferably in the healthcare setting, including experience and knowledge of HVAC, industrial boilers, electrical power transmission/distribution, plumbing, and utilities.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of maintenance/facilities experience required, five or more years preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of leadership/supervisory experience
• Thorough knowledge of Federal, State and Local Fire Safety, OSHA, Environment of Care, Building Code and Regulations, and DOH Life Safety standards.
