Job Description

Ainsley Search Group is seeking a Plant Operations Manager with experience in Continuous Improvement to join a Global Manufacturer located in the Chester County area. This ideal candidate will report to Director of Operations and is responsible for directing the efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations across manufacturing and Engineering, drives CI across manpower, process, engineering, manufacturing, materials to optimize process flow, work with cross functional team in engineering, production, quality, supply chain, procurement to drives JIT and improve efficiency, reduce cost, waste, further achieve highest customer fulfillment and cost saving objectives. This is a permanent opportunity with lucrative compensation, bonus, and benefits, they would like to develop the right individual to be their Multi-Site Plant Manager in the future.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee capital projects and plant engineering projects based on current process capacity, determine operational improvement initiatives, plans, corrective actions to optimize plant operations across control systems and plant equipment, provide input on capital investment.
  • Drives compliances of SHE and quality across all plant operations, support external and internal quality audit and ensure plant operations, process and quality are in compliance ISO
  • Provides hands-on leadership to both direct and indirect reports, full responsibilities of staffing outlook, training and career development, performance review, discipline for subordinate.
  • Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of company’s mission and optimize plant operations output to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and develop plant KPI and metrics, collect, analyze data concerning plant output, cost, cut/yield, scarp to identify area of improvement and cost saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate process capability, reliability, and overall efficiency to develop improvement strategy and further optimize safety, reliability, and efficiency across all automated systems; Apply Statistical Process Control to sustain and continuously improve process and equipment reliability.
  • Manage, plan and implement CI projects across 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, etc.
  • Act as change agent to drive changes across organization, provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to improve overall plant performance, culture, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with quality team and support root cause analysis, corrective action to drive improvement, reduce re-work and return issues.
  • Lead a team to streamline manufacturing, quality, safety, maintenance, production control, capital projects, and to achieve operational objectives within the manufacturing plant.
  • Oversee production and process performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive CI to achieve cost saving, JIT process and higher efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, higher education desired.
  • Recent years of experience as Plant Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, within Manufacturing industry, exposure to automation, fabrication, lamination, machining processes strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership experience, ability motivate and develop people.
  • Strong problem-solving skill and analytical skill, critical thinking skill and excellent communication and people skill, ability to interact with customers, supplier and cross functional teams.
  • Solid experience in Lean Manufacturing Practice, Continuous Improvement, 5S/6S, Value Stream Mapping, certified in LSS is a plus.
  • Solid experience in plant maintenance management and capital project management, recent exposure to plant automation project management.
