Job Description
EquipmentShare is Hiring a Director of Operations, Optimization & Strategy
EquipmentShare is searching for a Director of Operations, Optimization & Strategy to accelerate the success of the company’s most important asset: our employees. This US based role offers flexibility in most remote locations and/or at our HQ in Columbia, MO.
The Director of Operations, Optimization & Strategy will work with leaders across EquipmentShare to help elevate our People organization from traditional independent operations in verticals, and create a cadence of interdependence that enables each team to maximize impact and deliver a best-in-class employee experience. This leader will architect solutions and help build a strategic roadmap for the company, along with driving teams towards future business objectives.
This leader is a fierce advocate for EquipmentShare’s employees and will champion our ability to grow at scale. A successful candidate is a thoughtful team player, effective manager and operational excellence expert– with strong instincts and working experience to deliver results. You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring and leading team members, along with identifying future business needs. Key success factors include working across a wide array of company stakeholders to develop and manage project execution, communication, operational KPIs, and keep the organization aligned on core goals and deliverables. This position requires analytical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment.
Additional Responsibilities Include
  • Design and develop program and project management infrastructure for the People teams; drive best practices with our stakeholders and help EquipmentShare build a foundation of operational excellence.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure our People First strategy and assumptions tie to long-term growth plans for EquipmentShare.
  • Advocate for new initiatives using research, data, and business metrics to derive insights and shape recommendations.
  • Lead strategic operational planning and projects tied to annual goals, including employee experience, workforce planning and optimized HR workflows.
  • Establish and drive effective internal planning to ensure business objectives are met.
Why We’re a Better Place to Work
  • Company sponsored events (annual family gatherings, happy hours and more).
  • 401(k) and company match.
  • State of the art onsite gym (Corporate HQ) with instructor led-courses/Gym stipend for remote employees.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Opportunities for career and professional development with conferences, events, seminars and continued education.
  • Medical, Dental and Vision coverage for full-time employees.
  • Stocked break room and full kitchen, chef prepared meals daily (breakfast and lunch).
  • Volunteering and local charity initiatives that help you nurture and grow the communities you call home. Employees receive 16 hours of paid volunteer time per year.
  • Seasonal and year round wellness challenges.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) plus company paid holidays.
