Summary:
Key leadership position responsible for all product development strategies to drive product sales growth and profitability across both Academy and Armed Forces Bank for Retail and Business Banking deposit products and services. The Retail Product Manager (“RPM”) is responsible for the development, research, pricing, marketing and delivery of all retail products and services through Academy and Armed Forces Bank’s retail distribution channels, both online and in branch. Works closely with product and data analysts to develop profitability models. Leads cross-functional, cross-organizational teams to develop and launch products into the market across the entire organization. This position will pay a minimum of $135,000 annually.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement product strategy to meet revenue goals through product design, pricing, marketing, and margin management.
- Work with Academy and Armed Forces Bank leadership to establish appropriate product sales goals for business units and acceptable profitability metrics.
- Regular attendance required, working at the assigned worksite, or assigned remote location during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
- Ensure work premises constitutes a safe work environment that promotes positive bank image, including regular inspection for and remediation of any hazardous conditions; regular maintenance and cleaning of premises; adherence to all posting requirements in jurisdiction, including human resources and compliance postings; and provision of comfortable and appropriate space for associates to conduct banking business.
- Responsible for recommending all policy, procedure and product changes to the Board, executive management, or others responsible for oversight of the Bank’s retail product offerings.
- Responsible for all aspects of Retail deposit products and services provided through In-store and traditional branches, Call Center, Military Branches and On-line, including the direct development of client and associate education for new and existing products.
- Design, build and implement delivery of products to mitigate any identified risks.
- In coordination with retail business units, provide product specific associate training to ensure associates are effective in sales initiatives.
- Monitor and report product performance and profitability against established goal metrics; track cross-sell, retention and set sales/delivery expectations.
- Increase Academy & Armed Forces Bank product sales, balance sheet and revenue growth through product innovation, education, and marketing.
- Develop business case(s) to present recommendations to Academy and Armed Forces Bank leadership based on internal ROI targets, client expectations and innovative back-office solutions.
- Manage the overall profit and loss of the associated retail product lines.
- Monitor industry trends and perform essential market research and analysis to define current and prospective client needs with specific focus on enlisted military personnel and in-store banking client profiles.
- Completes other specified duties as assigned.
- Understands, embodies, communicates, and instills corporate initiatives and vision, including the six Pillars of Success.
- Maintains client information in complete confidence.
- Responsible for performing risk assessments on all existing and new retail products in order to identify all regulatory, compliance and reputation risks associated with product.
- Oversight for the development of a comprehensive strategy around cards – debit, credit, and pre-paid for both consumer and business.
