Established in 2012, TLB is on a mission to make women look and feel beautiful so they can show up as their best selves. We specialize in multi-use face products and long-lasting, highly pigmented lip colors. Our products are sold in Target and Walmart stores across the country and we maintain our Direct to Consumer

channel as well.


The Opportunity

The Operations Director will lead our operations function for The Lip Bar, Inc. The goal: Build a dynamic

and efficient ops organization with profitability and efficiency in mind. You will act

as a galvanizing and trusted business partner to the CEO to hep us make the right decisions to build a sturdy supply chain. This position will include regular interaction with all levels of manufacturing, supply

chain, purchasing and logistics to ensure we have the ideal amount of inventory at the right place, time and at the right cost. The ideal candidate has a strategic and operational mind that can drive key

business decisions on Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehousing today and for the future growth we know we will realize. You will work with stakeholders (internal and external) to implement improvements in supply chain processes and ultimately improve costs for business operations. This is a big role for someone who is confident and wants to make a big impact!


Role Details


In order to be successful, a strong culture of partnership with other functions will be

necessary. To start, you will develop and manage scalable internal SOPs and expectations for internal and external partners to build a greater operational understanding of excellence. On an ongoing basis, you will manage large cross-functional projects ( retail, supplier or inventory related). Your overarching goal is to drive operational efficiency assessing risks and opportunities in the following areas:


  • Delivery to customers (retail + DTC)
  • Purchasing patterns
  • Planning and management of suppliers
  • Inventory planning & Management ( inclusive of QC)



First 6 months Expectations

● Gain a deep understanding of overall business: manufacturers, assortment, 3PL

,and innovation strategy and customer base our products serve.

● Take a data driven approach to understand logistical and product sourcing

needs to all channels and accounts.

● Develops KPIs and scorecards to facilitate improvement plans for

underperforming supply chain partners

● Drive optimization of end-to end processes: operations, order management,

demand planning, S&OP, inventory planning and warehouse management...

● Identify and implement KPIs to measure supply chain performance against,

and/or develop, critical value drivers

● Interface between manufacturers and other vendors to assist with production

of new products or extensions of existing product lines to timely arrivals

● Manage operational activity to ensure supply availability and schedule

adherence, cost optimization, contract execution and adherence, and delivery

of initiatives

● Find ways to drive cost out of the supply chain

● Prepare executive level communication regarding risks and opportunities for operations.


General Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.

● 10 years of Operations Management experience

● 5+ years in a leadership role

● Energized by a fast-paced, scrappy, and hard-working office environment.

● Experience in the following fields: supply chain, procurement and/or CPG

operations.

● Proven success sourcing and managing external manufacturers + 3PLs

● Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.

● The ability to adapt and lead others through complex situations.

● Experience in a CPG environment
