Job Description
Director Of National Accounts Location: Westbrook, Maine (Remote work option available for Central or Eastern Time Zone) Job Title: Director Of National Accounts Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: VP, Sales & Marketing FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: As the Director of National Accounts, you will play a pivotal role in business development and managing relationships with key accounts for Tillotek's client. Your responsibilities will include achieving sales targets and objectives, and developing and executing sales strategies, plans, and programs to support the client's business, both nationally and internationally. In addition, you will foster strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the animal health sector, encompassing research laboratories, livestock, exotic, and companion animals, etc. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project management, preferably related to new product commercialization.
  • Has established and managed international distributor relationships. Animal health market preferred.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing account activity and progress against sales targets.

  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and continued business for Tillotek's client.
  • Collaborate and partner effectively with Business Line Leaders and Functional Leaders (Finance, HR, Operations, R&D) to encourage and drive better business outcomes for the client.
  • Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis, operating office machines, and handling light materials and supplies.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • Provide support, mentoring, and skill development to direct reports, i.e., Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Proven success in managing and developing a sales team.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue for Tillotek's client.
  • Work environment is office-based in Westbrook, Maine, with remote work options available for Central or Eastern Time Zone.
  • Work closely with Market Development for identifying, prioritizing, defining, and executing customer product application trials for Tillotek's client.
  • Phone and computer use.
  • KPI Leadership: Embrace and understand the ClearH2O operating model, and effectively deliver on key metrics such as revenue growth, price, profitability, and customer engagement for Tillotek's client.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process from prospecting to close.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets by cultivating and managing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science-related field such as biology, animal science, genetics, animal nutrition, physiology, etc.
  • Travel as needed to attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings with customers and prospects. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and effectively communicate them to the appropriate internal resource to ensure Tillotek's client delivers solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Develop and implement key account business plans, maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers at existing and potential accounts.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and quotas.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers, ensuring that all terms are aligned with company profitability.
  • Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and other sales materials to secure new business for the client.
  • 10+ years of Sales experience with at least 5 years in a national accounts role; life science-related field or animal health sales a plus.
