Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District is looking to hire a Director of Information Technology. Job Goal: To advance the effective use of technology to enhance student learning and support school management.1. Through the planning and management of technology;2. Through the coordination of the computer technical support staff;3.
Through the coordination with instructional staff;4. Through the coordination with the administrative support staff;5. Resulting in a high quality of technical support services throughout the building;6. Prepare and manage the District technology budget;7.
Chair the District Technology Planning Committee;8. Coordinate the implementation, evaluation, and revision of the Districts Technology Plan, including the Annual Report to the Massachusetts Department of Education; and9. Coordinate with Principal, Directors and Department Leads to plan and implement technology improvements into the school.MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES : The major responsibilities or duties listed below are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.1.
Manage the schools network system;2. Purchase, install and configure the system server hardware and operating system as required;3. Manage LAN/WAN and Windows servers;4. Manage software and licensing for Microsoft software products and education software;5.
Purchase hardware and software upgrades;6. Establish and implement network policies, procedures and standards for users and computers;7. Plan, develop and maintain the software, hardware, and procedural manuals for the information management systems;8. Conduct short-range and long-range planning studies while serving as a resource person for task forces, the Digital Learning Curators, Technology Committee, the Executive Team, teachers, and other staff within the school district that might require.

Oversee and manage the systems security with regard to anti-virus software;15. Provide support in establishing and setting up disaster recovery methods and infrastructure;16.
Supervises and evaluates the Technology Department personnel;17. Provide oversight for the school website, www.minuteman.org, including approval of all submissions, posting protocol and schedules; future planning including site redesign and periodic updates; and18. Any other duties as required by the Assistant Principal and/or High School Principal.
