Job Description

The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Director of Food and Beverage to join the team at Tenaya Lodge At Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, California. Our ideal Director of Food and Beverage is an experienced manager and proven leader within the hospitality industry who is looking for a new and exciting challenge. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficiency and success of your F&B teams at Tenaya Lodge At Yosemite.

Relocation is available for candidates over 50 miles away from the property.

Pay

Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $98600 - $133100 / year

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain safety and sanitation procedures; ensure proper repair and maintenance of food service equipment.
  • Motivate associates and ensure they follow company guidelines when providing hospitality to guests.
  • Verify, prepare, and submit reports and monthly projections as required as well as ensure effective systems for cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place.
  • Train, mentor, develop, and lead associates across the food and beverage teams.
  • Communicate and work with the management team to ensure food and beverage departments run efficiently and provide quality products.
  • Forecast revenues and utilize labor management system to properly staff departments while maintaining the proper guest service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, OSHA, payroll, and employment guidelines.
  • Develop strategic and innovative revenue-generating concepts; be knowledgeable of industry-related trends.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills. Ability to set priorities, organize time, demonstrate initiative, and work independently.
  • Established assessment and decision-making skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience in large-scale hospitality or related industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems.
  • Minimum of 7 years' food and beverage management experience required.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions including snow and ice.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills.
  • Driver's license is required.
  • High energy with effective and influential people skills. Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or equilivant years of additional experience required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.
