Vitalief is a pioneering Research and Clinical Trial Consulting Company. We are seeking a problem-solving oriented Director of Business Development to join our exceptional team, that has a passion for building new relationships and opening new client accounts, gaining credibility by supporting our clients in planning and execution of successful clinical trials; and expanding our footprint within those accounts by identifying and recommending solutions that translates into new business. Every trial is different and requires a solution that will optimize outcomes. Our approach explores innovative ways of delivering services to our clients by providing Resourcing Services, Consulting Services, Managed Services, and Learning & Development Solutions addressing the Human Capital epidemic in the Clinical Research Industry.

NOTE: This is primarily a remote position. However, must be willing to travel on occasion to Greater Philadelphia (where Vitalief’s leadership team resides) and client locations within the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively create and execute account planning and business development strategies.
- Shepherd sales pursuits by creating and delivering client presentations, proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs); this includes working closely with Vitalief’s executive management and solutions delivery team to provide innovative solutions to our client.
- Represent Vitalief at relevant industry and networking events.
- Work cross functionally internally and externally, communicating with all stakeholders, managing client expectations and ensuring clients' success.
- Reporting directly to our CEO, function in an individual contributor capacity, as a “hands-on” strategic sales leader driving new business, developing new client relationships and fostering existing relationships within the Research and Clinical Trials domain, and expanding our solutions footprint by identifying and recommending solutions that translates into new business.
- Meet/exceed revenue targets by effectively positioning Vitalief as a highly valued, trusted delivery partner with client executives and management.
Required Skills:
- Excellent negotiation skills, and ability to overcome obstacles and objections, thus gaining consensus with client stakeholders.
- Ability to build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline to ensure revenue and profit goals are achieved.
- Highly effective at navigating client environments and leveraging team members to identify opportunities and provide optimal client solutions; and become that trusted partner that can help solve our client’s problems.
- Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of building long standing, valuable client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Highly driven, results oriented, competitive, positive person who thrives in a small, team oriented, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience selling within the clinical research industry providing professional services or software solutions; OR selling into hospital systems is required. Experience working for a CRO selling FSP (Functional Service Provider) services is a big plus.
- Executive presence with strong leadership skills, and ability to establish partnerships with clients at all levels.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development working within the clinical trial/healthcare domain.
- Problem solver with the ability to think outside the box to solve client problems in an innovative way.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
